Billing and plans
subpoof has two plans: a free tier and a paid tier. Billing is handled through Stripe.
Plans
| Plan | Price | Monthly query quota | API rate limit | Watches |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Observer | Free | Limited | 30 req/min, 2 concurrent | Up to 5 active |
| Analyst | Paid (see pricing) | Unlimited | 300 req/min, 10 concurrent | Unlimited |
A "query" is one of:
- Submitting a scan
- Calling a list endpoint on the API (
/v1/dictionary,/v1/registrations, ...) - Each enrichment run on a discovered subdomain
The dashboard /settings page shows your current plan, this month's query usage, and the date the counter resets.
Upgrading
From /billing in the dashboard, click "Upgrade to Analyst". The button hands off to Stripe Checkout. When checkout completes, your account flips to the Analyst plan within a minute.
Managing your subscription
/billing shows your current subscription state and a link to Stripe's customer portal, where you can update your payment method, change the billing address, or cancel.
Invoices
Stripe emails an invoice to your account email each billing cycle. You can also view and download invoices from the customer portal.
Cancellation
Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep Analyst access through the period you have already paid for; on the renewal date your account drops back to Observer.
Failed payments
If a payment fails, Stripe retries automatically over the next several days. We hold off downgrading the account during the retry window. If all retries fail, we email you and the account drops to Observer until payment is restored.
Refunds
Email support@subpoof.com with the invoice number you want refunded. Refunds are at our discretion but we honor reasonable requests inside 14 days of the charge.
Beta accounts
Some accounts are flagged lifetime_unlimited (typically early-access users). These accounts are not billed and have Analyst-equivalent quotas. The flag is visible on the /settings page.
